07 Oct. 2024 Wayne County Drug Task Force Oct. 07, 2024 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. This Monday we will be hosting Rob Langman from the Wayne County Drug Task Force at our meeting. The Wayne County Drug Task Force was created to combat the sale and possession of illegal drugs in our community. The task force is funded in part by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General and in part from money generated from the forfeitures of money and property seized from drug dealers. The District Attorney has taken a tough stance on drug crimes and actively pursues and prosecutes all selling, manufacturing, distributing and drug use in Wayne County. The task force is coordinated by Chief County Detective Peter Hower of the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office and is made up of officers, deputies and detectives from the: Wayne County District Attorney’s Office Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Wayne County Adult Probation Department Waymart Borough Police Department Honesdale Borough Police Department Hawley Borough Police Department Lehigh Township Police Department There have been several law enforcement “sweeps” focused primarily on the arrests of drug dealers and users in this area that were performed by the Wayne County Drug Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police. 21 Oct. 2024 Annual Clambake and Halloween Party Oct. 21, 2024 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Annual Clambake and Halloween Themed Party 1. Held at Chris Cykosky's house at Robinson Road, Greentown. 2. The evening is reserved for members and their guest (s) who may be interested in joining Rotary. We encourage all members to bring a guest in support of Rotary's membership drive. 3. Halloween themed dress is preferred 4. Kick off is at 4PM - there will be several fun games during the evening. 5. Food and sodas, water will be provided 6. Alcoholic beverages are BYOB 7. There will be a spectacular firework display at around 7.30PM 8. Prizes for the best costumes will be given. The Committee has been working very hard to make this a special occasion and we hope everyone will turn out to support it. If anyone has questions please let one of the Committee know....Chris, Danielle, Diana, Annie, Fiona or Alan.
06 Nov. 2024 November Bingo Nov. 06, 2024 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Next bingo is November 6th. We are now able to accept credit and debit cards – no extra fees! Doors open at 6PM. First game is at 7PM. October bingo was called by Genni Reese of the French Manor and paid $245 for the highest game, 50/50 paid $208 and the community coming together and playing was priceless. Thank you to the South Elementary PTO for providing the food. I think the hot dogs are getting better each time. Hope to see you all in November!
